SSA mails the SSA-1099 (Social Security Benefit Statement) each January. It shows the benefits you received last year, which you may need for your tax return.
How to get a replacement
- Download it from your my Social Security account.
- Use SSA's automated phone service at 1-800-772-1213.
- Ask at the Springfield office if you cannot do either.
